Mental Health and De-Stigmatization

Mental health support and de-stigmatization

Mental health challenges are often misunderstood and neglected in Sri Lanka. Infinite Grace Foundation seeks to normalize conversations around mental health and provide accessible care.

Normalizing Conversations and Providing Care

What

Launch the #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay campaign to destigmatize mental health issues and encourage open conversations.

Why

Mental health stigma in Sri Lanka prevents individuals from seeking help, especially in underserved communities, schools, and prisons, leading to higher suicide rates and drug and alcohol use.

How

Speak about the importance of mental health and normalize it. Simultaneously partner with therapists and organizations like Kalyana to train 200 mental health first responders annually in schools, prisons, and communities. Provide accessible therapy services in underserved areas.

Impact

Reach 1 million individuals through awareness campaigns by 2026, fostering understanding and support for mental health.
